Offenses will come. There is no avoiding it. It’s nothing worse than dealing with someone who is scared of offense. The one’s who say they don’t want to cause trouble. You can’t follow anyone like that. The only way to avoid offenses is to avoid everyone in life. Your teeth will bite your own tongue sometimes. You will get on your own nerves sometimes. When you know a storm is coming, you prepare for it. How could you constantly be introduced with offenses and have no strategy to deal with it? From early years to now, we had to deal with offenses. Forgiveness is a big idea. Are you big enough to forgive and think beyond the offense?
Big people can dispute over the issue without falling out over the individual. Petty people fall out with the individual over the issue. If you make the issue the problem, rather than the individual, it is a chance to that you can unify and attack the issue. There is no way to have unity when you make the individual the problem and not the issue.
I encourage you to manage offenses, handle problems and be prepared because they will come. How you forgive will be the ultimate test. As fast as the offense come, let it go!
Luke 17:1 Jesus said to his disciples: “Things that cause people to stumble are bound to come, but woe to anyone through whom they come.
