Freedom Ain’t Free !

We forgot how much freedom cost, because we don’t realize how much others paid for the freedom that we call normal. Even though you consider yourself to be free, you can still be in bondage because of sin. To get what you want has a cost. To be a good leader, it costs something. You may have to suffer with your mouth closed. You won’t get this for free.

 

1 Peter 5:10  10 And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.

 

You wanna be established, but you don’t wanna suffer. You can’t microwave your anointing. Some stuff takes time. Independence Day is not about food. There was a fight, but even when some were free, others were still bound by slavery. America tells the story the way they want it told, with a twisted truth. When you are trying to get free, it is not a beautiful thing. The innocent had to shed blood, so that we might be free. Jesus had to also shed blood so we can be free and free indeed. I know you’re okay now, but let’s talk about what all it took to get you here. It cost you sacrifice and endurance, agony and pain to get where you are now. If you are going thru pain now, you are paying the cost to be free from bondage. You will fight, cry and crawl your way out- it will cost you something. You find freedom when you find God. When you lose it, when you lose Him.



Take Action! Get Up!

Mark 4:39 “And he got up and rebuked the wind and said to the sea, “Peace! Be still!” And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.”
 
 

Your blessings are in your actions. The bible tells us to pray without ceasing, but faith without works is dead. Be strong and Do Not Give Up, for your WORK will be rewarded. You will not be rewarded by what you think or hope for alone. If you have a thought for success, get up and put it into action. If you are sitting in pity, anger, defeat or depression… Get up and rebuke anything that may be hindering your peace. Your situations may slow down your journey, but they cannot stop you. The only thing that can stop you, is you. Speak over your own storm now, but first you must rise up from it.

 

I encourage you to accept greater for yourself. How will you make today memorable? What actions will you take today to be great? Fight the good fight of faith and tell the storm to stand down and take charge because God gave you that authority.

 



Broken To Pieces

 

Has something ever brought you to your knees? Depression, debt, defeat or despair can tear you down. But knowing God can deliver you is peace within itself. All we must do is surrender to Him and never to the enemy. The enemy wants us to stay down, but remember that Provers 24:16 says “Though a righteous person falls seven times, he will get up, but the wicked will stumble into ruin.” You are only defeated if you allow yourself to stay down. Don’t give up, Don’t give out and Don’t give in!

Psalm 29:11 

The Lord gives strength to his people: the Lord blesses his people with peace.

The Lord’s strength is found in our weakness. Yes, you may even get knocked to your knees again, but it positions you correctly for prayer and submission to God. Cast your cares on the Lord and He will give you rest to find peace. I encourage you to let the peace of Christ rule in your heart. Even if you are not broken at this time, pray for someone else or allow the Lord to use you in a mighty way to help them find peace too.
 


A Selfish Spirit

Is your attitude a sign of your selfishness? Are you killing what God is giving you, because you are determined on doing things in your own way that only benefits you? Ask yourself are you selfish. To single people who may ever get married, this is something to think about. To married people, it’s an opportunity to see how you can make the marriage better. Your feelings does not move God, it is your faith. God is a jealous God and when you put yourself, your things or your abilities over Him, you are creating your selfish spirit as your idol.

 

Do whatever it takes to get better and to do better, not for yourself, but for others around you too. I call you out of your mess, out of your insecurities, out of your drama and circumstances. You’ve been waiting on God to do something, but He is waiting on you to do something. Get up out of you and get into HIM!!

Know Your Worth

 

 

Deuteronomy 28:13 

13 And the LORD shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if that thou hearken unto the commandments of the LORD thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do them:

No matter what the devil throws my way, I know who I am! No matter what they say about me, I know who I am! No matter your situation is, know who you are! Quality never goes on sale. Understand and know that you are valuable. For God gave His ONLY begotten Son, is a reminder that we are valuable. God did not offer up silver or gold for us. He sacrificed His son! He paid the ultimate price for us. So never feel less than when God knows that you are more than! You are valuable and appreciated. Walk in your victory, value and strength. You are wrapped in love by God. You have to know who you are and whose you are. You are blessed on the mountain top and blessed in the valley. No matter where you are, understand that you are blessed.

 

Prayer: Lord, thank you for showing us how much we are worth to you! I pray everyone knows their worth and know they are more important than they realize. You are a God worthy of our praise and our obedience. Thank you Lord for Loving US!!  In Jesus’ name, Amen.



There is Opportunity in your Opposition

There is Opportunity in your Opposition. If you found your opposition, you found your opportunity. For example; If you lost your job, that is called opposition. The mistakes you made at the old job, you learned from and gained a new job to prosper in… this is called opportunity. Don’t focus on the hardship, focus on the opportunity to do things better today than your opposition on yesterday. When you get a new job, it’s not only about the income, it’s about the outcome. This is your opportunity to reach more people, inspire others, and encourage with the Word of God. 
 
Whatever your opposition is, just be reminded that opportunity will soon come. Sometimes opportunity is wrapped in opposition. Just like a gift….. never be scared to open the gift God has for you just because its presented to us in a way we don’t understand.

Beware of Self Destruction

It’s not the archery of the enemy that kills us. Saul was killed by his own sword. As believers, we spend too much time worried about what others did, who wounded us or hurt our feelings. Their swords may hurt us, but not destroy us. Remember that no weapon formed against us shall prosper. Do not self-destruct due to bad decisions. What are you doing that’s killing you? One adjustment of your attitude can change your altitude.

When Anxiety Attacks

Philippians 4:5-9

5 Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near.6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. 8 Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. 9 Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.

Balance yourself between burdens and blessings. The enemies job is to make you think that all Hell has broken loose because one area is not going well. We must Thank the Lord for what is going right and not dwell on what is not. The enemy only has power when you act on what he throws at you. The enemy clouds your minds and makes you think that your situation is worse than it is. Guard your mind, pay close attention to your actions and in everything you do, do it in the Glorification of God!

Ask yourself, will this glorify God if I do this prior to any action. You may strike against a friend and they have done nothing wrong. Recognize the true enemy and guard yourself against Him. The enemy will tell you to act and think about it later. It is your peace he wants. When you acknowledge your peace is being robbed, focus on The Lord’s Word.

 

There are 3 weapons you can use to beat anxiety:

  1. Prayer: Open your mouth and speak to God about your requests.
  2. Supplication: the action of asking or begging for something earnestly or humbly.
  3. Thankfulness: Count your blessings-Recognize that the enemy couldn’t steal anything unless God gave it to you in the first place.

 

The enemy wants to stop you from enjoying the blessing God gave you and have attitude. Don’t give in. Any time you hear bad news and still have peace, that is the peace of God. It is His Gift to you… Do you receive it?
